Elizabeth Miyashiro

Beth Miyashiro is a licensed Tennessee educator, with masters degrees in curriculum development and another in school counseling; she also holds a post masters degree in clinical mental health counseling. She completed her clinical work at Southern Adventist University.

Beth has spent most of her professional life working with students; she has worked in the capacity as a teacher in the elementary classroom, and as an academic coach in the collegiate setting. Most recently, she has worked for agencies that provide school-based therapies for middle-schoolers and elementary students, and has found this field of occupation deeply rewarding.

She has extensive experience helping young people who struggle with anxiety and depression as well as aiding students who find themselves stressed and overwhelmed. She has helped her students combat issues related to anger management, behavioral problems, and classroom stress management. She is knowledgeable in her perspective of trauma informed care and is passionate about working alongside students to support them in their growth and journey in living out a life God has intended for them.

Beth has also enjoyed working with adults. She has worked at the Transformation Center in Chattanooga, Cleveland, and Dayton. She has worked with adults on topics related to marital issues, parenting, and family relationships, as well as anxiety, stress, and depression that is common across the board.

Beth works to create a counseling environment of unconditional positive regard toward her clients of all ages, while fully embracing the knowledge that God cares infinitely about each individual in a very personal way and, if allowed, is the best Author and Finisher of all His children’s stories.
